Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all enquiries, bookings, hunts, and stays with Inkerbos Game Lodge (“Inkerbos”, “we”, “us”), Inkerman, Lephalale, Limpopo, South Africa. By making a booking you agree to them. The written quote and booking confirmation we send you form part of these terms; where they differ, the booking confirmation applies.

1. Enquiries & bookings

An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. We’ll reply with a tailored quote and the next open window on the farm. A booking is confirmed only once we’ve received your deposit and issued written confirmation of your dates, party, and package.

2. Deposits & payment

A deposit is required to secure your dates; the balance is payable as set out in your booking confirmation, with trophy and daily fees settled before departure. Amounts, currencies, and accepted payment methods are stated in your quote. Bank charges and currency conversion costs are for the client’s account.

3. Cancellations, changes & refunds

Cancellation and date-change terms, including which portion of your deposit is refundable, are set out in your booking confirmation. Because dates are held exclusively for you, deposits are generally non-refundable within the stated window. We recommend appropriate travel and cancellation insurance.

4. Hunting — licences, permits & legal compliance

All hunting is conducted in accordance with South African and Limpopo provincial law and sound conservation and ethical practice. Permits required for the hunt are arranged as set out in your confirmation. Where trophies are to be exported, the relevant export and CITES permits and compliance are the client’s responsibility, which we will help facilitate.

5. Firearms & equipment

Clients bringing firearms are responsible for the required temporary import permits and for declaring them correctly on arrival. Rifles and bows may be stored in our secure on-site storage. Firearms must be handled safely at all times and only under the direction of your professional hunter (PH).

6. Wounded animals

In line with standard hunting practice, an animal that is wounded is considered taken and the applicable trophy fee is payable, whether or not the animal is recovered. Your PH will make every reasonable effort to track and recover wounded game.

7. Trophies, field prep & shipping

Field preparation and trophy handling are included on hunting bookings. Dip-and-pack, taxidermy, export documentation, and shipping are arranged through a registered agent and are for the client’s account. We are not liable for delays, loss, or damage once trophies leave our care with the appointed agent.

8. Conduct, safety & PH authority

For everyone’s safety, guests must follow the reasonable instructions of the PH and lodge staff at all times. Alcohol may not be consumed before or during a hunt. We may suspend or end a hunt or stay, without refund, where conduct is unsafe, illegal, or unethical.

9. Accommodation, meals & the farm

What’s included with your stay is set out on the accommodation page and your confirmation. Wi-Fi is available at the main lodge; we can’t guarantee connectivity given the remote bushveld location. Please treat the farm, its facilities, and its wildlife with care.

10. Health, fitness & insurance

Hunting and the bushveld are outdoor activities in a remote area. Guests are responsible for ensuring they are fit to participate and for arranging their own comprehensive travel, medical, and emergency evacuation insurance.

11. Liability & indemnity

Participation in hunting and bushveld activities is undertaken at the guest’s own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inkerbos, its owners, staff, and PHs are not liable for injury, death, loss, or damage to persons or property, and guests indemnify us accordingly, save where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

12. Pricing & quotes

Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Daily rates and trophy fees are per our current price list and may change until a booking is confirmed with a deposit. Costs not expressly included in your quote are for the client’s account.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
